Academics

Founded in 1842, Cumberland University is a private liberal arts institution in Lebanon, Tennessee, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees. Its business programs hold ACBSP accreditation, the nursing programs are approved by CCNE, and the university participates in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

Cumberland offers more than 80 programs across three schools: the Labry School of Science, Technology, and Business; the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions; and the Oakley School of Humanities, Education, and the Arts. Signature programs include Business Administration, Information Technology Management, Engineering Management, Nursing, Education, and the Fine Arts.
